About the role:
Currently our Company is recruiting for a Food Technologist to work with R&D hardware team.
To support food science information in terms of analytical chemistry, food preservation, food processing and food quality assurance with the team.
Responsibilities
Managing NPD projects and develop products from conception to implementation
Sample preparation including blending, label preparation, packaging.
Conduct raw materials tests and adapt and test by focus on flavor, right color and consistency
Maintain sample records and project databases.
Providing advice on quality, product analysis and compliance related matters
Support Product Developers in application work and product evaluation.
Investigating and recommending solutions for quality issues
Provide support for presentations and sensory panels through set up, clean up, and assembling of materials.
Maintain sanitation and organization of the laboratory, following all safety policies and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
University Degree in Food Science or related discipline is an asset
Experience working in Food processing & preservation in manufacturing is an asset
Relevant experience as a Food Technologist within a confectionery or RTE & RTD manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of Food Quality Standards and Law
Meticulous attention to small quantities and detail orientated
Problem solving skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Team oriented, flexible to work overtime as needed
